About Transdiesel

HISTORY

Transdiesel Australia Pty. Ltd. was established in 1974 in northern suburbs of Melbourne. From the very beginning, our business focus was to provide the highest quality service to customers in mining and construction industries.

Transdiesel Australia Pty. Ltd. began as a Dealer for Detroit Diesel Allison, later acquired Cummins dealership. During the first 10 to 15 years emphasis was on maintenance of complex mining and construction equipment, overhauling Allison Transmissions, Cummins and Detroit engines. During late 1980's business moved closer toward transport industry and for the next 5-6 years road transport vehicles constituted a large part of our business. During 1995 we relocated to new, larger premises specifically built for engine and transmission rebuilding requirements.

  • Restructuring
    A New Direction

In 1996, Transdiesel relinquished Cummins and Detroit franchises and concentrated solely on Allison Transmissions. In late 1996, we established an Indonesian operation PT. HH Transindo running as a Joint Venture between Transdiesel Indonesia Pty. Ltd. and PT. H&H Utama International. PT. HH Transindo is Allison factory Direct Dealer for Indonesia – Borneo & Sulawesi.

In 2001 Transdiesel successfully implemented ISO9001-2000 the international standard for quality management and gained the certification status from a fully accredited third party Certification Body. We comply with all applicable requirements of ISO 9001: 2000 for business activities defined in the Scope of Certification. In July 2009 Transdiesel had accreditation upgraded to ISO9001-2008.

The system also contains procedures for the delivery of superior customer service consistent with known best practice applicable to our products and services. A highly reliable field performance of the transmissions repaired or overhauled by Transdiesel is the best testimony of our effort and determination to provide quality service to all our customers. Transdiesel is certified in servicing and overhauling of Allison Transmissions and related components, Sales of Allison Products and Parts and provision of Power Train Integration Solutions to Mining, Construction, Transport and Defence industries.

An integral part of our Quality Management System is our innovative way of tracking and controlling all workshop processes. We use purpose developed Process Control Plans to ensure that all instructions for overhaul or repair of transmissions include the latest Allison technical bulletins and practices. Our approach to the process control planning assists us in applying the required level of control at each critical stage of transmission repair or rebuild.
